Q.2 How is a hub different from a switch?

Answer: When the hub receives a message for a particular computer, it sends it to every other computer on the network. Therefore, hub-based networks are not very safe.

Q.3 Explain the role of a modem in a network.

Answer: A modem is a short form for the Modulator and Demodulator, used to convert analog signals to digital signals when they are received by the computer, and digital signals to analog signals when they are transmitted from the computer through cables.

Answer: A router is a hardware device that connects two different networks of the same type. It is used to receive, analyze and move information from one network to another.
